When busy mom Ashley Kogel (@raisinglittleladiess) was ready to give her underutilized bedroom closet a makeover, she teamed up with us at ClosetMaid, choosing our new WestView Collection for her project. Read on to see how it turned out.
From Cluttered to Organized
Ashley started out with a closet system that didn’t quite accommodate her wardrobe.
“Our closet was outdated with wire racks that barely held up and made everything feel messy, no matter how hard I tried to stay organized,” she said. “As a busy mama juggling kids, work, and a full schedule, I needed a solution that didn’t just look better — but actually made life easier. That’s where ClosetMaid came in.”
Ashley worked with our design team to create a system that would look beautiful and maximize every square inch of the closet. They decided on a symmetrical layout, with two 25-inch tower kits on either side of the doorway.
Before the makeover, Ashley’s walk-in closet had a lot of wasted space, making it crammed.
Ashley’s closet has double-hang space that accommodates tops on the left side and bottoms on the right. She also added drawers to each tower for hidden storage.
Shelves above and between the hanging areas provide more space for displaying accessories and other items.
“The installation was surprisingly quick and simple — even with little ones running around. No complicated tools or stressful steps. Just smart design that fits real life,” Ashley said about her new WestView closet.
About the WestView Collection
The tower-based laminate wood system comes in two widths — 16-inch and 25-inch — and it has drawers to match each tower width.
Its white finish is offset with black matte hardware and decorative trim to add some subtle style.
The WestView Collection also has a stackable three-shelf shoe organizer.
The WestView Collection can outfit a closet as small as six feet wide, and you can use multiple towers to fill a walk-in closet like Ashley’s.
“What used to be a cluttered mess is now an organized dream,” Ashley said. “Everything has a home — clothes, bags, accessories — and I can finally breathe when I walk into my closet. It’s become a space that works with me, not against me. ClosetMaid brought calm, function, and style into a space I used to avoid. It’s one of the best upgrades we’ve made to our home.”
