A Tale of Two Storage Makeovers

By: Staff Published: September 16, 2024

When Julia Randall, The Blissful Momma on Instagram, decided her son’s bedroom closet and her kitchen pantry needed makeovers, she partnered with ClosetMaid. For both spaces, she chose our adaptable wire ShelfTrack system.

Keep reading for more about the transformations.

Boy’s Bedroom Closet

Julia knew her son’s reach-in closet wasn’t being used to its full potential. It was crammed to the point of being inefficient. So, she removed the old system, patched the walls and installed a new ShelfTrack system.

“I like that we have different sections of the closet that I can use for different clothes and storage,” she said.

She also appreciates that the ShelfTrack system is designed to adjust easily, which is especially important in kids’ closets.

Julia used different levels of hang rods and shelves to make the most of the small closet’s capacity.

“If our needs change, the system is easy to modify without removing the brackets from the wall,” Julia said. “You can really customize it to your space. It isn’t one style fits all!”

ShelfTrack’s standards and brackets not only let you reconfigure the shelves, but you can also add accessories like shoe racks and drawer kits.

Plus, you can hang closet accessories on the wire shelves to take full advantage of the room in your closet.

Julia placed one Hideaway Hanging Shelf behind a hang rod to store sweaters. The Hideaway Hanging Shelves come in a pack of three, and they can be used in any wire storage system. They’re easy to install, too. You simply attach them with the four hooks – no tools required!

A Hideaway Hanging Shelf can hold up to 15 pounds of clothes, toys, or anything you want to store.

Now her son’s closet can serve multiple purposes and can grow with him.

Pantry

Julia’s kitchen pantry also needed a makeover. “It was getting way too cluttered,” she said.

Being a petite area, the pantry required some thoughtful organization to maximize the space.

Adding shelf liners to the pantry keeps things from tipping over or falling through the shelves.

Julia again used our Hideaway Hanging Shelves, this time to hold snack-sized bags of chips and cookies. The shelves also can store spice packets, fruit or other smaller items so that they’re easily accessible.

“I love that we are able to adjust the height of the shelves and use the pantry add-ons to maximize space in our small pantry,” Julia said of ShelfTrack and ClosetMaid’s organization accessories.

“We now have two ClosetMaid ShelfTrack systems and they have made a world of difference,” she said. “ClosetMaid has helped us get so much more organized.”
