Jayna Glover (jaynanicolemama on Instagram) and her husband recently moved into a new house and found their bedroom closet left a lot to be desired. The shelving was not properly installed, and the space had a lot of unmet potential. She turned to ClosetMaid and our Modular Closet system to improve their bedroom storage. Read on to see the transformation from “nightmare” to dream closet.

Before

After assessing her and her husband’s wardrobes, Jayna decided they needed a combination of shelving, hang rods and shoe storage. She took careful measurements of the closet and submitted them to the ClosetMaid design team to determine the best way to maximize the existing space.

A design rendering helped Jayna see what her closet would look like once it was installed.

The final design used five Modular Closet shelf units, four shelf and rod units and one shoe unit. All of them are in the Sand finish.

The previous closet system consisted primarily of wire shelves and hang rods, with a couple of wood shelving units behind the hanging clothes.

To prepare for installation, the old wire system and an old security system had to be removed and the walls were patched.

After

Once the walls were ready, the new Modular Closet system could be put into place.

“It was so easy to install,” Jayna said. “It took my husband next to no time.”

The new closet system accommodates a lot more clothing than the previous system.

Jayna loves how their new closet turned out. “The organization is top-tier,” she said.

Before, all her clothing didn’t fit in the closet. Now, she has extra room. Plus, the deep shelving units hold more of her husband’s caps and sweatshirts.

Jayna also appreciates the new closet’s aesthetic appeal. “It looks like a professional, custom closet system,” she said. “It’s so sturdy, it’s beautiful, and it’s so much more functional than what we had before, and I am so obsessed.”
