When Musings of a Curvy Lady blogger Thamarr purchased her first home last year, she envisioned a peaceful refuge where she could relax and also be inspired in her work as a fashion influencer.
Of great importance to her, and many other new homeowners, was having ample storage in the master bedroom closet. Although a walk-in closet, it still lacked the amount of space she needed.
Rather than make do with a too-small closet, Thamarr re-evaluated her single-family, newly constructed home and realized an unused guest room would make the perfect custom walk-in closet.
Thamarr’s new closet is functional and stylish.
To start the design process, Thamarr considered how to arrange her closet system to accommodate a couch and large window already in the guest room.
ClosetMaid’s SuiteSymphony product line was the best fit for the space and provided the exact solution needed to keep the busy fashion blogger’s clothing collection organized and on beautiful display. ClosetMaid’s variety of tower options and accessories allowed her to customize the closet to suit her specific requirements.
“I opted for the SuiteSymphony closet system to transform my extra bedroom into my closet room. I also used pieces from the SpaceCreations line to optimize as much storage as possible,” said Thamarr.
She ultimately chose an L-shaped closet so that it could include plenty of hang space, shoe shelving, cabinets, drawers and open shelving. From there, Thamarr provided the room measurements to a ClosetMaid professional designer who created design renderings.

Once Thamarr approved the final design renderings, the closet system was shipped to her home for a DIY installation.
Thamarr’s new closet has plenty of shelving for displaying her favorite accessories.
The final closet reveals a crisp white collection of towers that coordinates with her home’s bright and neutral color scheme and holds her shoes, hats, jewelry, handbags and clothes.
“I’m really happy with how it turned out and excited to decorate this room,” said Thamarr, who thrives on organization.
She now has plenty of space to fill the closet with all of her new fashion blogger finds, and everything has a place to call its own.
